This Madeena school was started in 1953 in a small thatched hut. 
It is pertinent to recall here its initial Karthas.Village Elders who had
 observed the sufferings of the students who hadgone to study in places like
 Sinhala medium schools like Nethipolaketara
 Bogamulla and Tamil medium school Kegunakolla that day.(Members of Jumma Mosque Management Committee)
Under the leadership of Marhum Mukhantram 
Sulayma Lebbai Withanaiyar, Marhums Abdul Samad, A. Alithambi, 
Abdul Hameed, Ahmedu Lebbai, Hameed Lephai, Ibra Lebbai, Saliya Lebbai
As a result of their tireless joint efforts, this institute was established 
on the land belonging to Masjidul Jalalullah School Gate.
